OpenNebula Core

Restricted-attribute configuration can now protect a complete vector attribute, such as DISK, NIC, or PCI, without listing each attribute within the vector separately.

API and CLI

New parameter --keep-ha for CLI command onezone serversync, which keeps local RAFT configuration. Usefull for asymmetric HA deployments.

This is the list of the individual platform components that have been through the complete OpenNebula Quality Assurance and Certification Process.

Note

For supported deployments, hypervisor nodes in the same Cluster must run the same operating system and version. In High Availability Front-end deployments, all Front-end nodes must also run the same operating system and version. Homogeneous deployments require matching both the OS distribution and its release version.

ARM64 packages

Since OpenNebula version 6.10.3-EE and 6.10.0.1-CE releases include ARM64 packages for all supported operating systems. This initiative aims to extend OpenNebula’s flexibility by enabling deployment on ARM-based servers (both hypervisors and Front-end nodes), opening new possibilities for lightweight, distributed cloud environments.

Compatibility Guide

OpenNebula Releases and Subscription Options

OpenNebula is a fully open source cloud and AI infrastructure platform distributed under the Apache License from a single source code base. Organizations use the same OpenNebula software whether they deploy the publicly available Community Releases or subscribe to the Enterprise or AI Factory offerings.

The primary difference between the public releases and the commercial subscriptions lies in the software distribution, maintenance lifecycle, and support services.

Public Community Releases provide openly available source code and binary packages for every major and minor OpenNebula release. Organizations with an Enterprise or AI Factory Subscription additionally receive access to Enterprise maintenance packages, including tested bug fixes, security patches, stability improvements, and other maintenance releases produced throughout the supported lifecycle of a version.
